The Program

How It Works

At Hijrah House, the men we serve are residents (licensees) — a structure that protects both the resident and the home.

What residents (licensees) receive

  • A bed in a furnished, shared two-person room (single rooms sometimes available)
  • Weekly check-in with a case manager
  • Peer recovery support
  • Biweekly recovery-coach check-ins (on request)
  • Resource navigation and guidance (employment, housing, benefits)
  • A substance-free home — no drugs, alcohol, or non-prescribed substances
  • No fixed length of stay — residents stay as long as they need
Outcomes

Success looks like moving forward.

No one is pushed out on a clock. Most residents build enough stability to secure work and housing within about 60 days; some find their own apartments within 90.

We measure success by where residents go next.

House standards

All residents agree to the House Rules & Code of Conduct, which keep the home safe, clean, and respectful for everyone. The full rules are provided at intake.
